A Study on the Data Verification indices about Indocyanine Green (ICG) clearance Test

Abstract
The data verification is a significant step for the test processing in the clinical laboratories. Especially in the tests which are difficult for quality control, e.g. special hematology tests, manual chemistry, functional chemical studies. Etc.,
it is
essential to verify the result data. In that point of view, author tried to invent several indices for the data verification of indocyanine green(ICG) clearance test. For the more meaningful result of ICG test, linearity of logarithmic decrease
of
drug
concentration, relevance of the apparent volume of drug distribution (Vd), and significant decrease of elimination rate constant(K) along the increase of drug concentration should be guaranteed. Therefore, I tried to quantify these three
characters
as
followed; linearity ratio, Vd ratio, K ration, and applied these indices to the clinical data tested in 1990. Among the 76 data sets of ICG tests, 20 sets are regarded to be 'not-acceptable'; five cases due to linearity ratio, five cases due to
Vd
ratio, and 11 cases due to K ratio As a conclusion, author suggests that the verification indices are useful for the quality control of ICG clearance test.
